Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), a polyester made by polycondensation of terephthalic acid and 1,4-butanediol, is an important thermoplastic polyester and one of the five major engineering plastics.
Polybutylene terephthalate is a Milky White translucent to opaque, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester with high heat resistance. Not resistant to strong acid, strong alkali, resistant to organic solvents, flammable, high temperature decomposition.
Polybutylene terephthalate is widely used in automobile, mechanical equipment, precision instrument parts, electronic appliances, textile and other fields.
