PC/ABS alloy can combine the excellent properties of both. On the one hand, it improves the heat resistance and tensile strength of ABS, on the other hand, it reduces the viscosity of PC melt, improves the processing performance, and reduces the sensitivity of the internal stress and impact strength of the product to the thickness of the product.
PC and ABS have certain compatibility, but the compatibility of PC and ABS is greatly affected by the model, ratio and processing technology of the two components. In order to effectively improve the interfacial compatibility, the most effective method is to add compatibilizer in the blend system. Commonly used compatibilizers include maleic anhydride MAH grafted POE, ABS grafts, PE grafts, polystyrene maleic anhydride graft copolymers (SMA), acrylic or methacrylic acid ester copolymers, amine groups, SAN, two-component compatibilization, etc.
