At present, the widely used notebook materials include: PPS; carbon fiber; metal (including titanium alloy, aluminum magnesium alloy and magnesium aluminum alloy three materials);ABS engineering plastics, what are their advantages.

1.PPS material

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a new type of high-performance thermoplastic resin with excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, and flame retardancy. It is known as "plastic gold". It is widely used as special after filling and modification. Engineering plastics, at the same time, can also be made into various functional films, coatings and composite materials, are widely used in electronic appliances, aerospace and other fields. The notebook made of PPS material makes full use of its corrosion resistance and high hardness, so that business travelers will not drop the chain at office time.

2. Carbon fiber material

Carbon fiber is a new type of fiber material with high strength and high modulus, which contains more than 95% carbon. It is widely used in aircraft, satellite manufacturing and other high-precision industries. The huge advantages of carbon fiber-light weight, high strength, and corrosion resistance are not comparable to other materials.

1. Light weight: The carbon fiber material is light and thin enough. The body weight of about 1KG can meet the portable needs of business people traveling and working.

2. High strength: The strength of carbon fiber is 5 times that of steel, which is much higher than that of metal material. At the same time, it has the softness and processability of textile fiber, high strength and toughness, and is not easy to deform, and it is completely unburdened to carry when going out.

3, corrosion resistance: carbon fiber material in the general acid, alkali, salt and other media, but also can do elasticity, strength and other properties basically no change, do not have to worry about rust, greatly extend the life of the notebook.

However, due to the complicated processing technology and the high cost of raw materials such as carbon fiber, the technical and labor costs required for carbon fiber have been high, so the price is also relatively expensive.

3. Metal materials

Common notebook metal shell materials are divided into three types: titanium alloy, aluminum magnesium alloy and magnesium aluminum alloy material.

1. Titanium metal: Titanium metal is known as "space metal" because of its stable chemical properties, good high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, strong acid resistance, strong alkali resistance, high strength, low density and other characteristics. It is mainly used to make aircraft engine parts, followed by rocket and missile structural parts, which are also promoted in medical equipment. Titanium metal high toughness can protect the notebook.

2. Aluminum-magnesium alloy: Aluminum-magnesium alloy is a metal material that adds 3-5% magnesium to aluminum to enhance its hardness. This material has outstanding thermal conductivity and strength, and has the advantages of light weight, low density, good heat dissipation, strong pressure resistance, etc. It can meet the requirements of notebook high integration, lightness and thinness, miniaturization, anti-crash and heat dissipation. Moreover, this material is easy to color and processed by process, add aesthetics to the notebook, is a common thin notebook material.

3, magnesium aluminum alloy: magnesium aluminum alloy is the main component of metal magnesium, accounting for up to 90%, followed by aluminum metal accounted for 9%, and 1% of zinc. Magnesium-aluminum alloy has the characteristics of good heat dissipation, light weight, and strong compression resistance. It is an engineering metal with low density, but the production cost of this material is higher, and the corrosion resistance is worse than aluminum-magnesium alloy and titanium metal.

4. ABS material

ABS engineering plastic is PC ABS. This material not only has the heat resistance, stability and impact resistance of PC resin, but also has the processing fluidity of ABS resin. It has strong plasticity. It provides more color choices through the blessing of skin-like coating process. It is the preferred material for office workers who pay attention to personalized display. But the disadvantage is the quality of heavy, poor thermal conductivity. Because of its low cost, it is adopted by most notebook computer manufacturers in low-end computers.
